If you take the trouble to do that, you will become aware of two things: the wide variety and the superb quality. This is due primarily to the photographers themselves. But we also have a brilliant team of designers – MV LevievanderMeer and Heijdens Karwei, both with studios in Amsterdam. Time after time they succeed in producing original and breathtaking books. And of course the unrivalled printer Wachter GmbH, in Bönnigheim (Baden- Württemberg, Germany). They never cease to amaze me by managing to make the impossible possible. My respect and friendship for all the people involved in making the production of my books possible – photographers, authors, editors, designers, lithographers, printers and binders – is immeasurable.

Producing stunning books is one thing, but selling them is vital. The infectious enthusiasm with which the Thames & Hudson sales team has gone to work to make things succeed, combined with their unparalleled knowledge of the business, is crucial for Schilt Publishing.

And last, but certainly not least: I pay tribute to all booksellers and buyers of books around the world. Without you there would be no Schilt Publishing, it’s as simple as that.
