The eminent Russian photographer Lialia Kuznetsova was born on 1946 in the city of Uralsk, USSR. She started to take pictures in the late 1970s. Lialia Kuznetsova was awarded with Leica Melal of Excellence (Mother Jones) in 1997.
In the last fifteen years Lyalya Kuznetsova has released three books in the US, Great Britain and Germany. These books are rarities now.
"The Road" (2010) is the first Lialia's book published in Russia. Also, it is the most complete example of Lialia's works. Many photos in the book have been published for the very first time, including "Circus" and "Jews. Bukhara" series.
